About White Feather Club

A Referendum will be held on 18th September 2014 to determine the future of Scotland and as we progress through the days, weeks and months leading up to this date we can expect a lot of words to be aired in the public domain.
The debate thus far has polarised into two very different formats. A positive format from the Yes camp and a negative format from the No camp. The No camp have been talking Scotland down, with lies and misinformation being their weapons of choice. These lies are knowingly being issued from politicians and their friends in the media. These people know what they are doing and they enter into the debate with free will.

As someone who wishes for a better Scotland and the opportunities that presents for treating people equally without favouritism or discrimination, where the economy is better balanced and society healthier, I want to participate. I want those in the No camp, those Better Together foot soldiers, who would actively conspire to keep Scotland down, to understand what I feel.
If they are going to put my country down, then I’m going to illustrate my contempt for them via this blog.

Several years ago, I created a Facebook page “The White Feather Club.” It was my way of achieving some catharsis from the seemingly endless anti-Scottish and, let’s be frank, undemocratic efforts of various public figures who would rather see, for instance, Scottish children live in poverty. For various reasons at the time, I was unable to keep it going but it was an interesting experience for me as it indicated that there was a strength of feeling out there among my fellow Scots that mirrored my own.

So now I’m revisiting the concept and I’ve created this blog to continue the previous Facebook work.

The format is simple. The purpose is to highlight those individuals who are actively participating or aiding in the Project Fear campaign and to award them a White Feather.
The White Feather is traditionally given to those who show cowardice or who let their country down.

I would encourage visitors to offer nominations for White Feathers. Let me know why they qualify. I’ve created two categories, Politicians and Media Types. If you think there should be additional categories then please suggest.

Something that perhaps should be considered is whether a particular person actually qualifies. For instance, Malcolm Chisholm, although a member of an Unionist party, to my knowledge hasn’t publically put Scotland down. Compare him to his fellow Labour Party politician, Jim Murphy, who quite clearly does put Scotland down. I’ll leave it up to you.

The White Feather Club is dedicated to Scots who have let Scotland down.

May I just say what a relief to uncover a person that really understands what they’re talking about on the internet.

You actually understand how to bring an issue to light and make it important.
More people need to check this out and understand this side
of your story. It’s surprising you aren’t more popular since you certainly have
    the gift.
